I create abstract sculptures in which I search for the exciting combination of mass and tension, fluid curves and cutting edges, a gameplay of light and shadow, abstraction and simplicity.
My purpose is to create unique sculptures making use of authentic and rich natural materials. Using a form language which triggers our emotions, encourages us to touch, to admire, to dream and to ignite our fantasy.
I love to work in natural stone. In itself it is already precious.
My creations take form spontaneously and intuitively.
By using my chisel and hammer I reveal piece by piece the hidden sculpture inside.

The corona virus is all around us and we are all somehow impacted by the virus. This inspired me to make this new sculpture 'DELICATE CONNECTIVITY'.
I especially choose 'Alabaster' because it reflects clearly the imperfections and fractures. Which symbolises our vulnerability.
To protect ourselves, we must keep distance. The 'see-through' emphasises the distant contact we have ... behind a window, a computer screen .... Making it possible to have a limited contact, but only giving us a partial impression of what the other person really experiences.
When light strikes the Alabaster sculpture, it lighthens up and gives us resilience and hope. It stimulates our creativity to adapt to our new environment.
